The Navachab Half Marathon Challenge Race is set to mark its 10th anniversary this Saturday with expanded prize offerings and a commitment to community welfare.
This year's event promises to be even bigger and better than ever, thanks to longstanding partnerships and a special focus on September's suicide prevention awareness.
The Director of Sport, Jo-Ann Manuel expressed pride and honour in having her sports officer spearhead the marathon project for a decade with the same sponsors, praising the team's formidable efforts.
Race coordinator Bethold Karumendu highlighted that this year's race is anticipated to be more significant than previous editions, with Navachab taking a leading role.
The marathon will feature increased prize money of N$20,000 for both men and women in the open category.
Additionally, the 10 km race will award N$10,000 to the first-place winner, N$7,000 to the second-place finisher, and N$5,000 to the third runner-up.
