The Ohangwena Regional Council launched its Customer Service Charter.

With the charter, the regional council says it recognises the importance of fostering community engagement and participatory governance and plans in collaboration with its stakeholders.

This will be done to achieve socio-economic development and improve the living standards of its inhabitants.

The Council promised to improve quality service delivery and enhance their reputation by providing excellence in governance at the regional level.

Launching the Customer Service Charter, the Chairperson of the Management Committee, Erickson Ndawanifa, said the development of the Customer Service Charter provides the opportunities for an effective, efficient, and interactive exchange and engagement between the governing and governed.

However, Ndawanifa warned that a customer service charter can become a burden if the organisation does not deliver on the established expectations. He therefore urged all stakeholders to work tirelessly and make the charter a living document by upholding principles of sustainable development.
