The Keetmanshoop District State Hospital has reported 44 severe cases of malnutrition during the first two quarters of the year. 

The information was revealed during the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Gender Equality, Social Development, and Family Affairs visit to the hospital to familiarise itself with the malnutrition status. 

From January to March and then April to June, the hospital experienced an increase in cases admitted with severe malnutrition.
