The Namibia Diamond Trading Company (NDTC) boosted four clinics in the Aminuis Constituency with essential items for expectant mothers and babies.

NDTC spent more than N$60,000 on items that will be distributed amongst these clinics to aid new mothers.

The company's Executive for Corporate Affairs, Helena Mootseng, indicated that one of the key objectives of Namibia Diamond Trading Company is to make a difference among local communities.

"Resources that contribute the most to our government offer ensuring that things like this are possible, but while NDTC as an organisation is focused on making sure that our people are taken care of and we care about each other in this organisation and the community we come from, that is why we are here today."

The Chief Regional Officer of the Omaheke Regional Council, Pecka Semba, received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries.

A senior enrolled nurse at Corridor 13 Clinic, Uatotjari Mumbango, was grateful for the gesture.

Mumbango also appealed to the community and staff members at selected clinics to safeguard and put to good use the items that include bed sheets, kitchen utensils, and nappies, amongst others.
