The Green Hydrogen Commissioner, James Mnyupe, noted that the European Union's (EU) Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism offers substantial opportunities for Namibia's green products, such as green iron and ammonia.
This initiative allows Namibian green products to gain a competitive edge in the EU market, supporting the country's green industrialisation efforts.
Launched by the EU, CBAM seeks to create a level playing field by imposing strict climate standards on all producers, both within the EU and internationally.
