Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Minister Dr. Albert Kawana has called on August 26 for those who took over the ongoing construction of the Kunene police regional headquarters at Opuwo in the Kunene Region to fasten the completion of the project.
The contractor promised to complete the project in seven days, assuring the minister that they will finish on 22 November this year.
The delay is blamed on local shops not having enough materials in their stock that are needed by the contractor, considering the magnitude of the project.
August 26 took over the contract in August this year from Onyofi Trading Enterprises, and they promised to finish it in seven days as expected by the government.
The minister visited the multimillion-dollar project site accompanied by NAMPOL Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo.
