The Swapo Party has secured the highest number of votes in the ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections held on Wednesday. 

The ECN Returning Officer for the constituency, Ignatius Awasman, announced the results at the Roman Catholic Church Hall collation centre in Luderitz, following the completion of the verification and auditing process. 

Of the 8,108 votes counted in the national elections, the Swapo Party garnered 3,328 votes, followed by IPC with 2,622, LPM with 989, AR with 526, and the Popular Democratic Movement with 229. 

67 ballots were rejected. 

The other participating parties include APP, BCP, CDV, CoD, NEFF, NDP, NEFC NPF, NUDO, RDP, RP, UNP, UDF, and UPM, which received less than 30 votes. 

The Swapo Party presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, received the highest number of votes at 3,713 of the 8,141 votes cast in the presidential election. 

IPC President Panduleni Itula received the second highest number of votes at 3,076, followed by LPM President Bernadus Swartbooi with 917 and PDM President McHenry Venaani with 189 and 127 votes for the AR President. 

The other presidential candidates, including Vaino Amuthenu, Hendrik Gaobaeb, Evilastus Kaaronda, Mike Kavekotora, Ambrosius Kumbwa, Amos Likuwa, Jan Epafras Muukwiilongo, Erastus Shuumbwa, and Festus Thomas, received less than 34 votes each. 

71 ballots were rejected. 

The ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency registered 9,910 eligible voters.

81% of registered voters in the constituency cast their votes. 

Awasman explained why it took the collation centre almost two days to announce the results. 

"Not so much with devices, but the main problem was the connection, the internet connection, and that's what took us, as from yesterday what time up to we could only conclude these uploading and everything today and do the announcement today."
