The 2024 full-time results for the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Ordinary Level have demonstrated significant improvements compared to 2023.

Announcing the results, Education, Arts, and Culture Minister Anna Nghipondoka indicated that 89% of all candidates were graded in 2024, an increase from 88% in 2023.

Performance in the Advanced Subsidiary Level for the class of 2024 has also shown a notable increase, from 85.2% in 2023 to 88.1% in 2024.

About 14,084 candidates achieved 25 points or more in at least five subjects, an improvement from 11,970 candidates in 2023 for the NSSCO level.

This reflects an improvement of 5.2% in overall performance.

According to the released results, 53.7% of candidates achieved 20 points or more in at least five subjects, qualifying them for degree and diploma courses at institutions of higher learning.

The three best-performing schools at the NSSCO levels are the Rukonga Vision School in Kavango East, as well as the Onawa Senior Secondary School and the Ruacana Vocational Senior Secondary School in Omusati.

The top three performing schools at the Advanced Level are Rukonga Vision School in Kavango East; Onawa in Omusati; and Okatana Senior Secondary School in Oshana.

Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, Anna Nghipondoka, says the results have been declared credible by Cambridge University Press and Assessment, which is the accrediting body, as they adhered to all necessary standards and requirements.
