The Prime Minister has urged Namibians to strive for better services in the country in honour of the late Founding President Sam Nujoma, who persisted and succeeded in securing freedom for the country.
Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila said this during a candle-lighting vigil at the OPM's Head Office in the capital on Tuesday.
Kuugongelwa-Amadhila noted that the late Nujoma endured suffering but never gave up.
A number of mourners gathered at the Office of the Prime Minister to celebrate the life of the late leader.
The gathering was held to honour the late leader's commitment to the country's freedom and his efforts to foster growth in various sectors, such as healthcare and education.
Speakers at the event praised his traits of being a brave leader, a man of unity, and someone who reached out to help others.
