Men have the responsibility to care for their loved ones, offer consistent support, and instill love and positive values within their families.

This was the message from teachers to the members of the Men for Change Boys Club launched at Keetmanshoop.

The boys club, which consists of boys from Suiderlig High School, J.A Nel High School. P.K de Villiers and Keetmanshoop Secondary School, aims to address challenges boys face in the education system.

These challenges include school dropouts, poor academic performances and substance abuse.

Plans are to establish similar initiatives, which will offer mentorship, support networks and essential life skills training across the ||Kharas Region.

The Suiderlig High School principal believes the initiative will equip the boys with knowledge, values, leadership skills, and good character development, allowing them to make positive choices.

Retired Principal Deon Williams welcomed the revival of the Men For Change Boys Club at school and provided insight into managing such an initiative.

Also addressing the boys was former principal and Namcol Area Manager Tangeni Abed, who underscored the importance of education and of making the right choices.

Abed furthermore reminded the boys to spend their time wisely by engaging in constructive activities such as learning or reading books.
