Epukiro Post 3 Principal Bigman Uanivi told NBC News that maintaining the top position is challenging but achievable with teamwork.
"It’s not easy to maintain the best-performing position every year, but if all hands are on deck, it is achievable," he said.
Wantenaar stressed the role of stakeholders in ensuring education remains key to a brighter future for children in the region. She urged learners to embrace determination, discipline, and resilience.
"The world is changing fast. The skills, knowledge, and values our young learners acquire today will determine how well they navigate the future. Let us encourage them to dream big, stay curious, and always strive for excellence. The Ministry of Education’s theme 'Foundation First, Excellence Always' should guide us in overcoming reading and learning barriers, ensuring a strong educational foundation for sustained academic success," she said.
Epukiro Constituency Councillor Packy Pakarae highlighted the importance of preparation and teamwork in schools.
"If you’re not preparing teachers for the next day, it’s not because the next day is the same day, but because children need different methods and support to enhance learning. This event underscores the importance of moving forward together. This region won’t improve without us. Every day, week, month, and year, we must find solutions, implement them, and improve toward success," he said.
