The Oshana Governor, Elia Irimari, has called on the region's leadership to redouble their efforts in implementing their five-year strategic plan to realise their development objectives.
He made these remarks yesterday, during the strategic review and planning meeting underway in Windhoek.
The strategic plan is a roadmap to develop the regional infrastructure and accelerate the improvement of service delivery within a given timeframe.
Irimari cited that the management should ensure that the public is well engaged and urged them to strengthen the communication strategy.
He thus encouraged the community of Oshana to study the document once it has been made available, so they can be on par with the developmental plans.
The Chairperson of the Management Committee, Andreas Uutoni, said the five-year plan should remain people-centred, inclusive and aligned with both regional and national development priorities.
He appealed to the leadership to safeguard the document and not allow it to gather dust.
The workshop, which is being attended by the Oshana Regional Council leadership amongst others, ends on Thursday.
