
The Oshikoto-based Uukule Secondary School is set to host a tournament to raise funds for renovations of their school gate entrance and logo.
Around 30 schools and approximately 300 learners from various northern regions are expected to participate in boys' and girls' soccer, netball, and volleyball tournaments.
Uukule Secondary School, a boarding school in the Oshikoto region, is among the first to kick off the school sports calendar every year, bringing together different schools to compete in various sports.
NBC Sports spoke to event organizer James Andimba, who shared more details on the tournament's progress and objectives.
Andimba explains that the funds raised at the tournament will be directed towards the school's renovations, ensuring that the facilities are in good shape for the learners.
Andimba urged parents and coaches to attend the tournament to support the teams and scout potential talent for their clubs.
The Uukule Secondary School Sports Tournament 2025 is scheduled for March 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Uukule Secondary School Grounds in the Oshikoto region.
