Students at the Sauyemwa Centre for the Visually Impaired in Rundu, Kavango East, say they feel honoured to be remembered on Africa Day.

This comes after the Riverdale Private Academy paid the visually impaired students a visit to appreciate them.

The Sauyemwa Centre for the Visually Impaired in Rundu is the only centre catering to visually impaired students in both Kavango East and West.

They don't get visitors very often, but when they do, the whole atmosphere changes.

On Africa Day, staff and learners from the Riverdale Private Academy saw it fit to spend the day with the visually impaired.

Apart from sharing sentiments of love and togetherness with the visually impaired students, learners from the academy also donated goodie bags to the centre.

These include necessities, such as sanitary products, lotions, and other toiletries.

The students expressed their gratitude and expressed their desire for more communities to support them.

The Riverdale Private Academy celebrated Africa Day under the theme 'Ubuntu in Action: Sharing Hope and Celebrating Africa's Spirit of Unity.
