The Namibia Housing Enterprises (NHE) continues to inspire hope among Namibians who have never owned a home by constructing quality, modern housing, especially for low- and middle-income earners.
At a recent handover ceremony in Omuthiya, Oshikoto Region, NHE brought joy to dozens of families by presenting 30 new houses to beneficiaries.
Valued at N$5.7 million, these homes are part of an ongoing effort to increase the housing stock in the town.
Last year, NHE handed over 50 houses in the same area, and in this second phase, it delivered another 50 housing units, bringing the total number of houses built in Omuthiya to 130.
NHE has expressed its commitment to delivering more quality homes across all towns in Namibia.
However, this ambitious initiative can only succeed with effective collaboration with local authorities to provide serviced land.
Toska Sem, Chairperson of the NHE Board of Directors, emphasized the organization’s dedication, noting that the Board recently undertook a nationwide fact-finding mission to engage with nearly all local authorities in support of NHE's goal to construct 2,000 housing units during the 2025/2026 financial year.
