Residents of Tsumeb raised concerns about municipal governance and service delivery during an engagement with Urban and Rural Development Minister James Sankwasa.
During the meeting, residents raised concerns over high electricity tariffs, small plot sizes for relocation, and the ownership dispute of Endombo.
The community also accused local leaders of poor communication and of unfair distribution of government food parcels meant for vulnerable households.
Sankwasa confronted some of these allegations directly and pledged to investigate the issues raised.
"The issue of people who are being relocated in Kuvukiland – they are taken from where they are, they are given a new plot, and whether that new plot has a big rock or a big tree, they are told that's your place, and if you don't want it, then go. So you confirm it's true?"
He assured residents that he will address the unsuitable plots allocated in Kuvukiland and vowed to visit the affected areas personally to assess conditions on the ground.
