President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has thanked the management of Delta Primary School for showcasing Namibia's culture, diversity, and stability during the Joy of Europe Festival that was held in Belgrade, Serbia.
The President received the school learners and teachers at State House.
The Joy of Europe Festival took place from the 1st to the 6th this month and brought together children from across Europe through music, dance, and art.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah said that the participation of Namibian learners affirms the creative industry as one of the priority areas to harness talent and tell Namibia's story.
"These are our cultural ambassadors from Delta School. You have taken the spirit of Namibia to the world. It's a pity we could not meet before you left, but I am happy to meet you now. Tell your classmates and the community what you learnt because not all children have this opportunity. What you brought home must reach beyond Delta."
The learners performed at various events, including the International Drawing and Painting Competition that showcased Namibia's unique cultural heritage.
This was the third time learners from Delta Primary School participated in the Joy of Europe Festival.
