The police recorded 6 cases involving dealing and possession of illegal drugs over the weekend.
In Windhoek, 2 suspects were arrested on Sunday morning after a search at a rented room led to the discovery of 28 sachets of cocaine powder, 7 grams of cocaine powder, 2 grams of cannabis, 8 grams of cocaine bullets and 5 grams of powder cocaine.
The value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be over N$800,000.
In Wanaheda, 2 male suspects and 1 female suspect were arrested during a stop-and-search operation at Greenwell Matongo's, Omuve Street.
Police found over 6,000 grams of cannabis skunk valued at over N$100,000 in a backpack carried by the suspects.
Down south at Stampriet, 3 separate incidents were recorded.
In the first case, a 30-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after she was found with 40 "crackies" of cannabis valued at N$400.
In the second incident, a 27-year-old man was arrested on the same day after being found in possession of 95 parcels and 2 zip-lock bags of cannabis weighing 735 grams with the street value of N$36,750.
In the 3rd incident, 2 male suspects were arrested on Saturday at the T-junction of Stampriet, !Gochas, and Aranos on the C-20 road.
Police found 10 parcels, half a brick, and 1 zip-lock bag of cannabis weighing 15 grams, valued at N$750.00, as well as about N$3,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
At Otjiwarongo, a 33-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday after an intelligence-led operation uncovered a cannabis plantation at her house.
Police seized 90 fresh cannabis plants weighing 1.81 kilograms and valued at N$90,500.
