GIZ, along with the Probats II-Competency-Based Economies and Namibia Investment and Finance Agriculture Financial Sector Programme Design Lab, organised a two-day meeting with various groups to promote financial innovation that is inclusive and sustainable.

The Director of Germo Holding, Gart Mouton, shared that running any business is a challenge that potential entrepreneurs should be aware of.

"You start off, and you think you start up, and then you put in your first level. You exhaust the previous stage, believing that you have already reached the next level that awaits you. Financing is one of our challenges, but what should be on that level? I want to go back to where I started."

Creative director and entrepreneur, Oshoveli Shipoh, says one of the lessons he learnt in business is financial discipline.

"If the time comes when an invoice has exceeded 30 days, we then have a fee structure that says, 'Okay, cool, these fees will accumulate for each day that the invoice needs to be delayed,' or on the next invoice, we add on the added fees that made up for the family that was late."

Shipoh emphasised that the objective is to create their desired goals rather than viewing creators merely as beggars seeking money.

"So at the end of the day, you are selling, and you are selling expertise. You are selling your expertise, and I hope that financial institutions can collaborate more with us to establish platforms that will also benefit them."
