Bikers Against Violence have called for coordinated efforts to eliminate gender-based violence.
To mark the conclusion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, bikers took a ride through Katutura in Windhoek, making stops at Etagameno Children’s Home and Hope Village, where they distributed toys and snacks to the children.
Road Captain of the Bikers, Sydney Boois, said the rise in children's homes is a result of men abandoning their roles of responsibility and accountability, urging them to step up and reclaim their place.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign aimed at raising awareness and inspiring action to end violence against women and girls.
The day ended with a men's mental health session by the Bible Society of Namibia.
