Leader of the Official Opposition in the National Assembly, Immanuel Nashinge, has denied claims by Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi that he refused vehicles offered to him.
Nekundi told the National Assembly that two second-hand vehicles, a Toyota Prado and a Toyota Fortuner, were offered but declined.
However, Nashinge said the first vehicle presented to him last year was in poor condition and raised safety concerns.
He maintained that he did not reject vehicles outright but questioned temporary arrangements and the lack of communication from the ministry regarding a permanent allocation for the office.
