The Kuisebmund Secondary School Hall Project Gala Dinner, held in Walvis Bay, has successfully raised nearly N$3 million.

Speaking at the fundraising event, Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare said strategic investments in youth empowerment, skills development, and community growth start with education.

The hall will host career guidance sessions, entrepreneurial seminars, and skill development programmes.

Dr. Ngurare emphasised that since independence in 1990, Namibia has consistently prioritised education and health in its national budgets.

Of the N$104 billion 2026/2027 national budget, N$28 billion is allocated to education.

He credited late founding President Sam Nujoma for laying a strong educational foundation in the early years of independence.

Ngurare also highlighted milestones, such as subsidised education.

The Governor of the Erongo Region, Nathalia |Goagoses, urged the community to safeguard the infrastructure.

|Goagoses applauded the partnership between the government, corporate stakeholders and the community.

She urged learners to take their studies seriously, saying Namibia's future depends on empowered and skilled youth.
