The armed robbery and assault suspect, Nujoma Tobias, was denied bail following his first appearance in the Katima Mulilo Magistrates' Court after being arrested in connection with an incident at Mafuta in the Zambezi Region.

The state objected to Nujoma's bail based on flight risks, and his case was postponed to 21st July.

Tobias and three others who fled the scene allegedly held a businessman, Lin Hua, and his two employees at gunpoint and assaulted them on Friday.
