A 39-year-old man, Alfred Tomas, suspected of murdering his 83-year-old grandmother, Selma Shilongo, at her homestead in Ondiyamande village, Uukwiyuushona Constituency, over the weekend has been remanded in custody.

The armed robbery and assault suspect, Nujoma Tobias, was denied bail following his first appearance in the Katima Mulilo Magistrates' Court after being arrested in connection with an incident at Mafuta in the Zambezi Region.

A suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and assault at the Mafuta area outside Katima Mulilo. Three other suspects fled the scene.

It is alleged that the four men held Lin Hua and his two employees at gun point and assaulted them inside Lin's shop.
