The Namibian police have seized drugs and illicit goods totalling N$304,890 over the weekend.

On Friday in Klein Kuppe, a 38-year-old Angolan man was arrested after being found in possession of 2,452 tablets suspected to be ecstasy.

The estimated street value of the drugs is N$294,240.

In Tutaleni in Swakopmund, a 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of 81 grams of cannabis with an estimated street value of N$4,050.

A 23-year-old man was arrested near Kasu field in Omaruru on Saturday after being found with 55 Mandrax tablets valued at N$6,600.

In the early hours of Friday, at Bravo Police Checkpoint in the Oshikoto Region, authorities arrested a 26-year-old man driving a Toyota pickup.

Upon searching the vehicle, the police seized ten boxes of Yes cigarettes, 15 boxes of Rumba whisky, 70 boxes of Impuiso Café rum whisky, 18 sachets of rum whisky, and two crates of Cuca Cerveja beer, with a total estimated value of N$135,570.

In another incident, an 18-year-old Angolan man was arrested outside U-Save Shoprite in Okahandja after police found him selling 235 packets of Yes cigarettes and 74 sachets of whisky.

The total value is yet to be determined.
