Namibia's rich musical heritage took centre stage this weekend in Windhoek as Ma|Gaisa and Oviritje came together for the first time in a historic cultural celebration.
Themed "Ma|Gaisa Meets Oviritje, the Best of Both Worlds Music Concert," the two genres continue to evolve while preserving their cultural identities.
The day began with a range of cultural activities, including traditional dress showcases and a cookout competition, highlighting Namibian cuisine.
Windhoek Mayor Sakarias Uunona toured the venue, engaging with small business owners.
Sendelly Gonteb, the Director of Hoadadi Trading, said the event was designed to unite communities through culture and music while also supporting local entrepreneurs.
Local entrepreneurs were given a platform to showcase their products, with a strong focus on proudly Namibian brands and cuisines.
