Namibia’s music industry has lost yet another one of its most influential figures with the passing of guitarist and producer Christian Polloni at the age of 67.

Namibia was plunged into two weeks of mourning following the passing of celebrated musician Ras Sheehama, aged 59. 

Sheehama, who was buried on Saturday, left behind a legacy of music that has inspired generations.

Mourners from all walks of life have gathered at Omusati Region's Onamulunga village to honour the life of late music icon Ras Sheehama, who died on the fifth of September in Windhoek.

The City of Windhoek has launched the Jazz Festival, slated for November 1st at the Hage Geingob Stadium.

This year's line-up features Namibian acts Bongani Soul, Esme Songbird, Ugly Creatures, Harmonic Grooves, Botselo, Sigera Jazz, and the Swinger Jazz Band. 

Late music star and Namibian reggae icon, Ras Sheehama, always used his music to convey messages of love and to protest social conditions, leaving consumers of his music with food for thought.

The Miss Namibia Top Ten Finalists visited the Mbunza Living Museum just outside Rundu, and the beauty queens say the experience was an eye-opener. 

Many describe the museum as a place where history comes to life. 

The Namibian music industry is mourning the death of a well-known music producer, Araffath Muhuure, who died on Friday, aged 40.

Muhuure was known for his innovative work and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry.
