About 30 students have been selected to take part in a scholarship programme spearheaded by the Afrostud Educational Consultancy to study at Parul University in India.

The university will be funding 50% of the scholarship, including a one-way ticket and one year of medical insurance, with additional support from the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund.

The students, who will depart within the next two weeks, will take part in priority courses in the Marine Studies, Geosciences, Bio Information and Healthcare fields.

The Founder of Afrostud Educational Consultancy, Karen Janecki, says this is a perfect opportunity for the students to acquire knowledge abroad that will enable them to contribute to Namibia's overall development.

One of the beneficiaries, Ester Shikale, shared words of encouragement with the other students.
