The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair marked 25 years of promoting business, innovation, and economic activity in Namibia.
As the trade fair celebrates the milestone, long-standing partners, including the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, are reflecting on its contribution to nation building and regional trade.
For 25 years, the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair has brought together businesses, entrepreneurs, innovators, and communities, creating a platform for trade, networking, and the exchange of ideas.
Director General of the NBC Menesia Muinjo stressed that the longstanding partnership with the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair is about more than visibility but about supporting a platform that contributes to the country's socio-economic development.
“It’s really a brilliant platform that not only brings traders together but also contributes to the national economy and nation-building. It brings together local businesses, international traders, and guests for benchmarking. It is also a valuable lesson for many communities across the country, because the Ongwediva Trade Fair has been a pioneer in this field. Many other trade fairs came after it, and some have looked to the Ongwediva Trade Fair and learned from how it has been successfully organized and managed.”
NBC's continued participation in the trade fair is also part of its mandate to inform, educate, and promote local businesses and services.
“Please go out there and find our producers. We are going to have various radio stations there. The way we have been doing it is by offering special packages for the Ongwediva Trade Fair. Just get in touch with our commercial teams.”
Businesses as well as the public are encouraged to continue supporting the platform.
