The National Assembly has approved the appointment of four members for the Land Tribunal Committee, who will serve for a three-year term.

The Tribunal provides a legal forum for resolving land reform disputes and hearing appeals relating to agricultural land.

The appointed members include Ileni Gehardt, Inekela Kambindji, Christopher Khaile and Petrus Amakutuwa.

In their contribution to the motion on the approval of the committee, MPs called for fair distribution of land, correcting historical imbalances and ensuring productivity that will contribute to food security.
