The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) says its all systems go for the 9th edition of the National ICT Summit, which kicks off tomorrow in Ongwediva.

The Deputy Director for Public Engagements, Shasimana Uugulu, confirmed that preparations are complete for the five-day summit scheduled for 12 to 16 October 2026 at the Ongwediva Trade Centre in the Oshana region.

This will be the first time the flagship summit is hosted in northern Namibia.

The event will be held under the theme "Harnessing ICT for Inclusive Growth Digital Pathways to Reduce Unemployment and Eradicate Poverty".

The summit is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts, amongst others.

Uugulu said the summit will move beyond infrastructure and software to focus on people: how ICT can create jobs, empower the youth and uplift communities from poverty.

The ICT Summit is regarded as Namibia's premier platform for shaping the future of information and communication technology in the country.
