The Swapo Party Secretary General, Sophia Shaningwa, has reminded district treasurers in the ||Kharas Region that their responsibilities extend beyond petty cash administrators to safeguarding finances and building sustainable enterprises.

Shaningwa made the remarks while officiating at a financial skills workshop attended by party's district treasurers and held at Geelkrans Farm near Noordoewer.

The workshop aims to strengthen the participants financial management skills on budgeting, record keeping as well as fundraising strategies.

Shaningwa highlighted the party's reputation is anchored on hard won and serious commitments, decades of struggles and unbreakable sacrifices, thus this ethos is non-negotiable.

“Build systems of financial discipline and generate resources that would enable our structures to function without constant dependence of the office of the Secretary General at the Head Quarters.”

Karasburg West Swapo District Ester Neema said the party is an epitome of sacrifices, freedom and justice for all Namibians.
