Evans Maswahu was elected as Namibia Public Workers Union President, while Hilma Uushona and Samuel !Oe-Amseb are the first and second deputy presidents, respectively.

Petrus Nevonga has retained his position as General Secretary, deputised by Matheus Ndeshikeya.

None of the nine candidates was challenged for the top leadership positions during Napwu's 10th congress at Swakopmund. 

Rosalia Kupembe is the National Secretary, deputised by Profilius Halwoodi, while Frieda Mashazi is the National Treasurer.
 
The new President of Napwu, Evans Maswahu, encouraged the members to unite in order to address the challenges facing them.

Maswahu succeeds outgoing Napwu President Sarafina Kandere.

Also speaking at the event was Mosego Mogwera, the Botswana Public Employees Union President, who encouraged the newly elected leadership to respect the constitution of Napwu at all times.

About 36 central and 16 national executive committee members were elected.
 
Numerous members of Congress applauded the Napwu office-bearers and declared the elections successful.

The Napwu leadership is elected every five years.
