In an effort to improve customers' experience and service delivery at all levels, the Agricultural Bank of Namibia (Agribank) has revamped its Otjiwarongo branch office.
The renovations were done at a cost of about N$5.2 million.
More than 2700 clients in the bank's loan book are from the Otjozondjupa Region and owe the bank a combined N$132 billion.
According to Dagmar Honsbein, the bank's deputy Board Chairperson, Agribank's office renovations are part of the bank's ongoing strategy to put its clients at the center of what they do.
"We have laid a solid foundation to ensure that the bank's impact is felt across the length and breadth of our beautiful country. We will continue to offer innovative financial solutions to both communal and commercial farmers, from production to value-addition and supply chain management."
Otjozondjupa governor James Uerikua is pleased to learn that Agribank introduced the women's and youth's loan schemes, with relaxed conditions.
"It is my hope that more young people and women from this region will take advantage of this scheme and become producers of note. The Otjozondjupa Region is endowed with notable underground water resources and fertile land and can become the country's breadbasket through the commitment of the youth, women, and agricultural graduates."
The Otjiwarongo branch has so far spent more than N$10.7 million on thirteen projects run by women and youth.
Agribank is also working on moving from paper-based transactions to digital application and approval processes.
