BREAKING NEWS | The Swapo Party Executive Director Austin Samupwa, has dismissed reports that the Congress will likely be stalled today and only proceed tomorrow amidst allegations that there's an unverified voter roll and that there are ballot papers without serial numbers.

The ED stressed yesterday that they carried out a vigorous exercise in verifying all the delegates. He however said the issue with the ballot papers without serial numbers, has not reached his office and denied having any knowledge regarding that.

Elections will commence around 17h00 today. The Verification and re-verification might take longer than expected and the announcement of the results might be around midnight. 

The Executive Director also dismissed claims that one of the candidates for the Swapo Party Vice-President, Pohamba Shifeta has withdrawn from the race.

Samupwa was speaking during an interview with nbc News today at Safari Court Hotel, where the 7th Swapo Party Elective Congress is underway.
