The Otjozondjupa Governor, James Uerikua has called on the National Youth Council leadership to represent those who elect them into office.
Uerikua was speaking at the 8th Representative Council meeting at Otjiwarongo.
The Representative Council is the second highest decision-making body of the National Youth Council when the General Assembly is not in session.
It comprises all delegates from regional youth forums and affiliated organizations.
In his remarks, Otjozondjupa Governor urged the Representative Council to be active in setting the agenda of youth development.
Uerikua also delivered a speech on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service.
"Our development should always be people centered. Remember to focus on the youth and to do it all for the youth. These agreements are unavoidable but how you handle them can make all the difference."
