The agriculture sector remains the backbone of the country's economy amid challenges posed by climate change. 

The Minister of Industrialisation, Mines, and Energy, Natangue Ithete, commended the Namibian Competition Commission's (NaCC's) role in promoting fair business practices and safeguarding consumer interests in Namibia.

A young female livestock farmer at the ARAF Trade Fair urged her peers to participate in agricultural shows and overcome challenges.

The four-day ARAF trade fair at Usakos provided a platform for farmers to showcase their livestock at the agricultural show.

There has been an improvement in the livestock displayed by farmers at the ARAF Agricultural Show in 2025 compared to last year. 

This is according to the Erongo Chief Agricultural Technician, Joel Kooitjie, a judge at the agricultural show. 

Despite the ongoing rise of digital payment solutions, cash remains significant – both as a payment method and as a safety net in the event of digital disruptions.
