Usakos Town Council CEO Lesley Goreseb has responded to the long-standing concerns raised by residents of Saam-staan, outlining the council's development plans aimed at improving living conditions in the area – particularly focussing on water, sanitation and electrification. 

Arandis and Swakopmund residents have been urged to preserve water as supply levels have dropped sharply.

NamWater noted a significant reduction in water from the Orano Desalination Plant due to an increase in sulphur in the ocean. 

Police in the Zambezi Region have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of ATM cards and other electronic equipment on Tuesday at Kapps Farm in Windhoek.

Zambezi Police Commander Andreas Shilelo says the bank cards have a value of N$5 million.

The number of flood-affected households in the Ohangwena Region continues to increase.
