The Kavango East Region has dropped five spots in the 2025 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) Level for full-time candidates based on overall national performance. 

In 2024, the region ranked third place, but 2025 saw it place eighth. 

When it comes to the performance of private schools for the NSSCAS, only one private school, Saint Boniface College, made it to number five on the top ten list. 

The region, however, managed to take first place in the advanced subsidiary level for public schools thanks to Rukonga Vision School. 

The top 20 NSSCAS saw Jacob Ipinge from Rukonga Vision School taking 8th place and Magnus Muronga from Rundu Secondary School taking 12th place, followed by Magnus Muronga from Rundu Secondary School. 

The Kavango East Region scooped position number one in the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSCO) for full-time candidates with 50.07%, which is well above the national average of 36%. 

The percentage is based on candidates qualifying for the advanced subsidiary level in their region. 

When it comes to the ordinary level based on overall national performance, Kavango East showed the most pronounced improvement, moving from seventh place in 2024 to first place in 2025. 

The top 10 private schools at NSSCO level saw Kavango East's St Boniface College at position number four. 

In terms of public schools, at the ordinary level, Kavango East comes in at second place with Rukonga Vision School, fifth with Max Makushe Secondary School, and ninth with Matumbo Angelina Ribebe JSS.

Out of the top twenty best performers at the ordinary level in six subjects, Kavango East managed to have seven learners on the list. Marian Kweyo first place, Dacrus Manuel second place, Tuuda Mulongeni eleventh place, Panduleni Kamati twelfth place, Ananias Angula thirteenth place, Hilia Ileka eighteenth place and Simwanza Sihope nineteenth place.
