As the year comes to an end, the Namibia Amateur Golf Union has reflected on its 2025 season, while also casting an eye on the year ahead. It has been a year marked by driving competition, exposure, and opportunity for local players.

NAGU President Toady Gurriab described 2025 as a period of incredible growth and fantastic participation.

"What a year for golf. We've seen incredible growth, fantastic participation, and a level of competition that we are truly proud of," NAGU President Toady Gurriab said.

This year marked one of the busiest periods for the union, which hosted seven national events and attracted players from across Africa. These events provided local golfers with tougher competition while earning valuable World Amateur Ranking points and keeping the national team pathway active.

Namibia also represented the country regionally, taking part in the AC Region 5 Championship in Botswana and hosting the King Price International Pairs Regional, offering local players the chance to qualify for the world finals in Sun City.

Looking ahead, the union closes the season with confidence, focusing on the momentum built through effort and exposure.

"What a year for golf. We've seen incredible growth, fantastic participation, and a level of competition that we are truly proud of," Gurriab added.

With clear objectives set for the future, NAGU remains focused on building even stronger in the years to come, ensuring the game continues to strengthen and provide opportunities for golfers across the country.
