The late Bennett Kangumu was buried at Chisawo Village in the Zambezi Region.

Kangumu, who was the University of Namibia's Katima Mulilo campus director, died following illness.

Swapo Party's presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has promised that she will ensure that those elected into leadership positions deliver.

In no uncertain terms, Nandi-Ndaitwah also stressed that only the public can fire her, and she will call a spade a spade before it happens.

The All Peoples Party (APP) presidential candidate Ambrosius Kumbwa said if elected, his government will focus on improving the education system.

Kumbwa said this at the launch of the party's 2024 Election Manifesto at Rundu.  

A women empowerment organisation called LOLA was launched at Rundu with the hopes of changing the lives of young women there.

The launch was attended by learners from different schools.

The Vice Chairperson of the New Era Board, Edwin Tjiramba, says enhancing stakeholder participation is vital in shaping the country's development agenda.
