The Hambukushu Traditional Authority, through its lawyers, sent a letter of demand to the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa.

The Traditional Authority snubbed a consultative meeting on the Bwabwata National Park at Rundu last week, as they wanted it to take place at Mukwe instead.

As Namibia commemorates Heroes Day on 26 August, the country remembers those who sacrificed for its freedom. 

Among them are ordinary Namibians whose contributions to the liberation struggle often remain untold.

Oshikoto Communal Land Board member Fabian Venasiu has warned village headmen to refrain from illegally selling or allocating land parcels.

Former Robben Island political prisoner Marten Kapewasha has returned to the prison decades after his release.

Kapewasha formed part of the delegation that witnessed the exhumation of Namibian political prisoners Simon Niilenge and Festus Nehale.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare said every Namibian deserves access to quality healthcare as the government works to strengthen the country's health system under the NDP 6 plan.

During his visit to the Swakopmund State Hospital, Ngurare said quality healthcare must remain a priority.
