Zambia has launched the Integrated Migration Management Information System and the five-year National Migration Data Strategy, aimed at curbing illegal immigration.

The launch is considered a transformative milestone in modernising Zambia's migration governance.

Cholera has resurfaced in Zambia, with at least four new cases recorded in the past week.

The Zambia National Public Health Institute managed to contain the first three cases within two days and is now attending to only one patient.

The Chairperson of the Omaheke Regional Council, Rocco Nguvauva, said his office will prioritise community empowerment through income-generating projects. 

Nguvauva made the remarks during the handing over of income-generating project donations at Du Plessis Plaas in the Okorukambe Constituency. 

The Luderitz-based Lagoon Aquaculture, founded in 2015, has grown over the years into a cross-border industry, now exporting live oysters, scallops, and rock lobsters.

Its export destination includes South Africa and Asian markets. 

The Governor of the ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze, has urged unity among communities and political leaders.

Gertze, who was speaking during a thanksgiving dinner for the elders, said peace must guide society beyond political differences.
