Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) and the National Youth Service (NYS) will soon conclude a partnership agreement, which will see the NYS provide basic maintenance services at NWR resorts across Namibia.

The Mayor of Swakopmund, Suamma Kautondokwa, has revealed that plans are underway for the formalisation of the DRC informal settlement.

Residents can expect the move to bring structure, development, and improved service delivery.

The Development Bank of Namibia has committed N$1 billion towards strengthening the country's healthcare infrastructure.

In a press release, DBN says the funding will support the development of the health facilities and forms part of the government's "Roadmap" initiative.

Over N$350 million has been allocated to state-protected areas, which focuses on enhancing conservation, protection and the sustainable use of wildlife species and their natural habitat.

This includes national parks and other conservation areas.

The governor of the Kavango West Region, Verna Sinimbo, has questioned whether census statistics are considered when allocating the regional budget. 

She made these remarks during the Regional Profile presentation at Nkurenkuru.
