The Mine Workers Union of Namibia (MUN) has launched several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening member engagement and promoting sustainable socioeconomic development. 

The union recently held a Western Regional Roundtable discussion in the Erongo Region as part of member engagement forums. 

The Ovaherero chieftaincy dispute continued in the Windhoek High Court, as Senior Traditional Councillor Vipuira Kapuuo faced cross-examination by Advocate Albert Strydom before Judge Lotta Ambunda. 

As the Commonwealth Business Summit officially concluded on Friday, Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchwey, accompanied by Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, paid tribute to Namibia's national heroes at the Heroes Acre.

Hundreds of yogis turned up for the 11th International Day of Yoga in Windhoek, organised by the Indian Embassy.

Namibians were joined by India's High Commissioner, Rahul Shrivastava, and Indian nationals enjoyed a morning of body union and consciousness through yoga. 

Some road construction projects in the Kavango East Region have hit delays.

Roads Authority CEO, Conrad Lutombi, said these delays are partly due to late payments to contractors.
