Flame Nangolo from AC Boxing and Fitness Gym retained his featherweight title once again as he beat Gustav Petrus in a rematch at the NamPower Convention centre in Windhoek Saturday night. Five out of the seven bouts that formed part of the event ended in technical knockout, as all boxers tried to live up to expectations. Local boxers gathered at the NamPower Convention Centre to witness the talent on display. It was a night of blood, sweat and tears as the majority of bouts were stopped unexpectedly due to technical knockouts. One of the most popular bouts of the night took place between Robert Ndalelwa and Alweendo Nicanor and ended in a first round TKO. Meanwhile, in another bout, Alfeus "Mosquito" Shaanika knocked out Ebenestus Kaangudue in the second round. In the main bout Flame "Special one" Nangolo retained his title as Featherweight Champion. The encounter was scheduled for ten rounds, but Nangolo stopped his opponent Gustav Petrus in the third round already. Petrus stood no chance as he fell three times before Judge Patrick Esterhuizen stopped the fight. Nangolo, who is still undefeated after six fights, said he still needs more fights to make his mark. On the undercards, Usko Rehabeam beat Nakwafelwa Samuel on points, while the fight between Jacob Jacob and Oiva Amwaama ended in a draw.
