The Okakarara Trade Fair, which kicked off on the 2nd of September, is one of the biggest trade expositions in the Otjozondjupa Region and is expected to end on September 8.

The Okakarara Residents Association Fighting for Development is calling on the Okakarara Town Council to explain the Auditor General's adverse audit opinion due to missing financial documents, a dormant inventory system, and an unexplained bank transaction.

The Okakarara Town Council says it is making efforts to improve road infrastructure, sewerage, and water reticulation, as well as satisfy the demand for housing in the town.

Okakarara Town Council has been sending estimated water bills, and this is causing inaccurate meter readings.

Over the years the Okakarara Town Council has been buying bulk water from NamWater filled with limescale.
