Namibia officially received a China-aided Satellite Ground Data Receiving Station, marking a significant milestone in the country's science and technology advancement.

The facility was handed over on Wednesday.

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) innovation camp commenced today, and one of the ten schools participating will win a prize as well as an opportunity to compete in the regional competitions in South Africa.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, has called on parliaments worldwide to legislate ethical standards for science, technology, and innovation (STI) to advance sustainable development. 

About 124 learners from across the country were awarded as top achievers during a National Science Fair prize-giving ceremony.

The science fair was co-hosted by the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education Arts and Culture.
