Swapo members from Koës and Aroab in the ǁKaras Region have been equipped with leadership skills as the party strengthens its structures ahead of the election cycle.

The Standing Committee on Urban and Rural Development and Land Reform has commended the Aroab Village Council in the ||Kharas Region for establishing a reception area to address uncontrolled informal settlements in and around the town.

The Office of the ||Kharas Governor handed over gardening equipment and seeds to identified rural community gardening initiatives in the region. The equipment and seeds were donated by Mefuta Enterprises.

With national exam results set to be released tomorrow, ||Kharas Governor Aletha Frederick has urged parents to approach poor results with understanding and compassion.

She made this call during a fish donation to five community school hostels.

The working class of Keetmanshoop, Aroab, Tses, and Berseba have rejected a draft regulation to preserve retirement benefits. 

The Regional Education Director in ||Kharas, |Awebahe  ||Hoeseb, commended the Anglo-American Namibian Foundation for providing nearly N$1 million for the construction of two classrooms, a storeroom, and ablution facilities at the Oosterheim Combined School in the village of Aroab.
