As Namibia mourns the passing of its Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, preparations for his state funeral are nearing completion.

Residents of the ||Kharas and Hardap regions filled Keetmanshoop's J. Stephanus Stadium to capacity to pay homage to the late Founding President Sam Nujoma at a solemn memorial, honouring his legacy and contributions.

All logistics related to the memorial service of the late Founding President Sam Nujoma on Friday at the Independence Stadium are on course.

Outapi-based businessman Tona Amadhila says the late Founding President not only fought for the liberation of the country but also ensured opportunities for local businesses to thrive and contribute to the country's economy.

The Founding President, throughout his lifetime, was showered with gifts and, as per the English term, given his flowers whilst he was alive.

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education Natalia |Goagoses says, that before apartheid came to Namibia, Namibians lived together as Africans, guided by the spirit of "Ubuntu'' an ancient African phrase meaning 'humanity unto others'.

Justice Tjiumbu Muinjo, who led the recent group of returnees from Botswana has likened the late Founding President Sam Nujoma to a genius with natural powers like those of Hosea Kutako. 

Mourners in the Omaheke Region described the late Dr. Sam Nujoma as a man of action who possessed unique leadership abilities and always paid attention to the cries of the people, upon which he acted promptly.

A number of mourners gathered at the Nkurenkuru Expo Hall in Nkurenkuru Kavango West to pay their last respects to the late founding President, Sam Nujoma.

Erastus Uutoni, the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, described the late Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma's legacy as a beacon of hope for the current and future generations of the country and beyond.
